These are the reviews I hate to write but unfortunately this book just didn't do it for me personally.

The blurb for this book hooked me and I couldn't wait to read the book after I had read it but the story unfortunately didn't have the same pull.

First of all though I love the fact that this book is set within bonnie Scotland, there is nothing more romantic than Scottish scenery but feel this could have been enhanced had the dashing Laird been a Scotsman and not been English. Not a biggie, I just have a penchant for hunky Scotsmen.

The story started out quite promising and found myself quickly drawn into it but it had lost it's momentum after a few chapters and I couldn't get back into it.
The insta -love theme that was happening was a little too over bearing for me and Charlie's constant use of such terms of endearment as "darling" and "sweetheart" meant I often forgot that I was reading about a young, rich alpha male and not some stuffy older gentleman and Isabella's immaturity often got a little too much.

That being said the drama and angst had me reading on until the end, so I have given it 2 stars.
