I was given an arc of this book in exchange for an honest review. I gave it 5 lethal stars.
Blackie the vice president of the Satan's Knights MC, is a man haunted by his past. Using his addictions to drugs and alcohol to self medicate as a method of coping with the loss of his wife years earlier to a drug overdose and all of the bad decisions he hs ever made in his sorry excuse for a life that have brought full throttle to the point of no return. Or at least that is what he thinks.
At his lowest ebb, the guiding light in his never ending darkness comes in the form of Lacey Parrish, who is none other than the daughter of the Satan's Knights president, Jack! She comes along to prove to him that he is destined for greater things if he is just willing to open himself up to her love, However Lacey is struggling with her own demons, will they pick each other up or drag each other further into the darkness?
A temptation so lethal neither of us would survive. Maybe I had a death wish after all.
First of all this series has been the best I have read for a while, Janine's stories are amazing!!! I mean all those hot covers for one are almost too much to handle......Almost!!!
I love how she managed to intertwine all the stories throughout the series and still deliver something new and fresh with each story.
My heart bled for poor Blackie as he repeatedly broke my heart. I mean don't get mr wrong there were times when I wanted to throttle him with his self-destructive "I want you, I don't want you but I want you" attitude. Towards the end I was tearing my hair out.
And poor Lacey struggling with her own mind but still trying to be a tower of strength for her knight. I didn't think I would warm to her like I did but she really grows on you as more than "Jack's kid".
It was an emotional rollercoaster of a ride fraught with danger at every turn but we got there and it was amazing!!
