I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review. My actual rating was 3.5 stars.
I am not going to bore with you an overview of the book, that is what the blurb is for but I will tell you that this is a some what cheesy, slightly clichéd, not too heavy read. Especially considering that this is an MC read.
I liked how the story was gradually unraveled as we read on to discover more about Evie and Kick and their turbulent history together. However I felt it was let down as small details were left out in some scenes that left me with a few unanswered questions regarding this story.
So it's missing some of the heavy stuff, the grit and and the darkness that I love in an MC read but just because this story wasn't for me, doesn't mean it isn't for you. If you like a decent love story that doesn't leave you feeling like you have been put through the wringer, this is definitely for you.
